Oita Heat Devils (BJ League) signed 23-year old American forward Wellington Smith (201-F-87, agency: KMG Sports Management). Smith played most recently at West Virginia University (NCAA) in the U.S. It will be his first year in professional basketball. While playing 38 games for W.Virginia last season his stats were: 6.6ppg, 4.1rpg, 1.3apg and 1.0bpg. He helped WVU to win Big East Tournament and make it to the NCAA Final Four.

Denis Clemente will play in Israel next season; Maccabi Rishon LeZion has signed the Puerto Rican guard. Clemente who will play his first season in Europe after playing during the last two seasons for Kansas State University, averaging 16.6 points and 4.2 assists per game in his senior year. Clemente played this summer with the Charlotte Bobcats in the NBA Summer League.

(191-G-84, agency: KMG Sports Management, college: William Carey) will continue his career in Brazil. The 25-year-old guard is expected to join the NBB vice-champions Flamengo. Kyle Lamonte spent the previous season in Penarol. He tallied 21.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game in Liga Americas. In LigaA Kyle Lamonte notched 18.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists per appearance.
